Side Effects

All medications generally tend to have some side effects in addition to their benefits; most of the time the positive benefits far outweighs the side effects. For men suffering from premature ejaculation (PE), the positive effects of medications are definitely very important.

The innovative new medication for treatment of PE – Priligy – has shown remarkable effects on men in clinical trials. It helped men control the timing of their orgasm better and derive satisfaction from sex. In the trials, Priligy was found to be a relatively safe drug with only major side effect being nausea.

Priligy contains dapoxetine hydrochloride as its main ingredient, which was originally created for treatment of depression. It belongs to the class of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI), which are generally prescribed for treatment of depression, stress and other related conditions.

Such medications normally have a range of bad effects including nausea, weakness and loss of libido. Many of these medications can also adversely affect the sexual health of men. However, dapoxetine hydrochloride has been found to have a positive effect on men suffering from the sexual problem of premature ejaculation.

The relative lack of any bad effects makes dapoxetine a very attractive medication for men suffering from this sexual weakness. The lack of control over their orgasm makes many-a-men feel inadequate. The only treatments presently available are topical ointments like lidocaine and SS Cream. These are basically local anesthetics that numb the general area and deprive it of all feeling.

Such effect is rather bad for sex as it leaves both partners feeling unfulfilled. But with dapoxetine, men and their partners can relax and enjoy their feelings without have to worry about side-effects.
